PUD Expands COVID Relief Grant for Small Businesses
The Columbia River PUD Board of Directors voted to expand the PUD’s COVID Relief Grant for small businesses.
At their February 16 meeting, the PUD Board voted unanimously to allow businesses that received the grant in 2020 to apply for it again in 2021. Additionally, the Board voted to increase the amount of the grant from $200 to $250.
“We’re still not out of the woods with COVID, and I know that we’ve got a lot of real positive feedback from this program,” said PUD General Manager Michael Sykes. “Anything we can do to help them survive a little bit longer.”
Businesses that have established electric service as a small business with Columbia River PUD under Rate Schedule 20 are eligible. The grant is available on a first come, first served basis.
The PUD originally introduced the COVID Relief Grant in November of 2020 as a one-time $200 bill credit.
