Vehicle Wash Program

A member of the Rainier High School baseball team participates in our Vehicle Wash program.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, our Vehicle Wash Program is suspended indefinitely.

Local nonprofit groups that are raising money are invited to apply to wash Columbia River PUD vehicles, including bucket trucks, service trucks, passenger cars, and sport utility vehicles.

What is the benefit?

In exchange for washing approximately 10 vehicles, the group will receive $300. Two groups will be chosen each month.

Are supplies provided?

CRPUD will provide all necessary supplies, including hoses, spray nozzles, brushes, washing mitts, buckets, and soap.

Who can help?

Qualifying groups must have 6-8 volunteers. Children age 12-17 may participate, provided there are at least two adults who will supervise all participating children. All washing will be done from the ground. No climbing on vehicles is permitted.

When are the washes?

Vehicles are washed once a month from March through October. Washes are scheduled for the second Saturday of the month at 9 a.m. Groups are typically finished by 11:30 a.m.

How to sign up:

We are no longer accepting applications for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
