Privacy Policy

The PUD collects information about the Customer so we can serve the Customer and offer products to the Customer. We call this information “Customer Data”. It includes:

  • Information the Customer gives us (such as name, address, Social Security number, income);
  • Information about the PUD services the Customer has (such as account balances) others give the PUD (such as information for credit worthiness from credit reports);
  • Information from visits to the PUD website (such as data from web forms, site visit data, and data from web “cookies”).

The only employees who are authorized to have access to Customer Data are those who need it to do their jobs. This Customer Data is protected and kept confidential. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal and state regulations to protect Customer Data.

The PUD may share the Customer Data described above with other PUD departments and employees. We may share it to serve you or maintain your account, or so that we can tell you about other products or services.

The PUD may share the Customer Data described herein with other companies that perform services for us or on our behalf. This includes firms that provide mailing or marketing services for the PUD, or develop and maintain software for the PUD. We do this only if applicable federal and state laws allow this disclosure. We may disclose it as permitted or required by law, for example, to law enforcement officials in response to subpoenas, or to prevent fraud.
