Only claimants named on the account owed may file a valid claim on an uncashed check. Please be ready to provide us with your name, current mailing address, prior service address, and current phone number.
These outstanding checks are primarily in the form of refund checks for customers who have closed their PUD accounts. If you know someone who may be owed a refund, please alert them and have them contact us.
When customers do not cash their refund checks, we have to send that money to the State of Oregon. We try multiple ways to contact customers with unclaimed funds in an attempt to get the check to them. Some customers' funds have been sent to the State of Oregon.
