Schedule 25 – General Service – Less than 400 Amp Service – 100% Wind Energy

Effective for all bills rendered after October 1, 2019

Applicability

To commercial and general service Customers not subject to other specific rate schedules, and whose service entrance requirements are single-phase, 400 amps or less, or three-phase, 200 amps or less.

Character of Service

Sixty hertz alternating current, single-phase, 400 amps or less or three-phase, 200 amps or less, and at such voltage as the PUD may have available.

The PUD matches 100% of the Customer’s kWh energy use with purchases of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) from Pacific Northwest wind energy farms. A REC is a tradable, legal mechanism that represents the environmental benefits associated with one Megawatt-hour of electricity generated from a renewable resource. RECs may be sold and traded and the owner of a REC can legally claim to have purchased renewable energy. RECs incentivize the production of renewable energy by providing a source of revenue to electricity generated from renewable resources, such as wind farms.
