Crews recently restored power on Elk Creek Road & Neer City Road. There are roughly 50-70 customers still without power in the Rainier area.

Please remember, if you see downed power lines, stay away, keep others away, and call us immediately at (503) 397-1844 to report them. Always assume downed lines are live and dangerous. And, anything touching a power line is just as dangerous as the line itself.

12:15 p.m. Update – February 6, 2017

Crews are continuing the restoration effort in the Rainier area, and we continue to experience new outages as a result of the heavy snowfall.  We estimate there are a few hundred customers who are without power at this time; most of them are affected by trouble spots that occurred today.

There are reports of snow up to 22” deep in some places.  Please remember, if you see downed power lines, stay away, keep others away, and call us immediately at (503) 397-1844 to report them. Always assume downed lines are live and dangerous. And, anything touching a power line is just as dangerous as the line itself.

Crews continue to work removing trees from the lines and repairing downed lines in the Rainier area. The heavy snow is causing additional trees to fall as they are making repairs. Thank you for your patience while they work. Please report outages at (503) 397-1844.

5:15 a.m. Update – February 6, 2017

An estimated 350 Rainier-area customers are without power this morning. PUD crews worked throughout the night and will continue working today. They have repaired several trouble spots caused by the heavy, wet snow, which is causing trees and tree limbs to fall onto the power lines.

9:45 p.m. Update – February 5, 2017

Our largest outage of the day is affecting more than 700 customers in the Rainier area. Crews will continue to work on this and other outages throughout the night.
