    Meter Reading

    The amount of your electric bill each month is determined by the amount of electricity you use. The electric meter installed at your home automatically sends us information about your electric usage.

    Meter Accuracy

    Electric meters are extremely accurate. Meters are tested before being installed. If you feel that there is a problem with your meter, you may request a meter test for a $50 fee. Please call our office at (503) 397-1844 to schedule a meter test.

    Meter Tampering

    Tampering with an electric meter is a federal offense. It is also extremely dangerous.

    Only Columbia River PUD personnel are authorized to break or replace a meter seal. If you believe someone is tampering with an electric meter, please contact us immediately at (503) 397-1844 or .
