Celebrate Public Power October 8-12

More than 2,000 communities in the United States light up their homes and businesses with “public power”— electricity that comes from a community-owned utility.
Each public power utility reflects its own hometown characteristics and values, but all have a common purpose: providing reliable and safe electricity at a reasonable price.
We’re public power
Your PUD is a community-owned utility. A locally elected Board of Directors guides us in our mission to deliver quality services and low rates. We are here to serve you, and we’re proud to have saved customers over $23 million through lower rates since we began providing service in 1984.

PUD Office will be closed September 28
Our office will be closed on Friday, September 28th for an all-employee training session.
Our 24-Hour Outage & Information Line, 503-397-1844, will remain open. Regular business hours will resume on Monday, October 1.
Tim Lammers promoted to Energy Services Supervisor
Tim Lammers has been promoted to Energy Services Supervisor. Tim is replacing Brent Barclay, who left to pursue another job opportunity.
Tim has served as the PUD’s Commercial Services Advisor since 2000. He is active in many local organizations including the South Columbia County Chamber of Commerce, the Day Breakers Kiwanis Club and the Ford Foundation Leadership Training Program. He is a former member of the St. Helens School Board.
He and his wife Joann live in Columbia City and have three sons.
Turn a light on for your neighbors - Give to GLOW
With summer coming to an end, chilly winter weather is just around the corner. For some families, higher winter electric bills are a burden that can create a major financial crisis. There is help for these families through the Neighbor’s GLOW (Give Light, Offer Warmth) Fund.
Your tax-deductible gift to GLOW helps where help is needed most - every dollar goes to customers needing assistance to avoid disconnection of their electric service. You can make a one-time contribution, or donate a little each month as part of your electric bill. Make a donation now.
