Ductless heat pumps and standard air-source heat pumps are both energy-efficient options for home heating and cooling.

Ductless Heat Pumps

Standard Air-Source Heat Pumps

  • Provide summer cooling and winter heating
  • Doesn't use ductwork
  • Simple installation
  • Quiet operation
  • Heats & cools one or more zones in your home
  • Good choice for replacing baseboards, ceiling cables or wall heaters
  • Also good for additions or remodeling projects where extending ductwork isn't possible
  • PUD Rebate of $1,500 available through September for qualified installations
  • Tax credits up to $1,900 may also be available
  • Provide summer cooling and winter heating
  • Requires ductwork
  • Installation can be more complex
  • Heats & cools the whole house
  • Great for new construction or for homes with existing ductwork
  • PUD rebate of up to $1,300 available for qualified installations
  • Tax credits up to $2,500 may also be available
