New appliance rebates

Information about the financial incentives available from the PUD for the purchase of new, energy-efficient clothes washers, refrigerators and freezers.

We offer rebates on the purchase of ENERGY STAR® qualified clothes washers, refrigerators and freezers. The program is offered to all Columbia River PUD customers for appliances installed in new or existing homes or businesses within the PUD's service area. Only new ENERGY STAR qualified appliances purchased within the past 12 months are eligible for this rebate.

Step by step procedure

  1. Purchase an ENERGY STAR qualified appliance from the dealer of your choice.
  2. Complete a rebate application and submit it along with a copy of your sales receipt and the yellow Energy Guide tag that was attached to the appliance. To qualify, the Energy Guide should include the ENERGY STAR logo.
  3. We will process your application within three weeks. If the application is approved, we will credit your account. If the application is not approved, we will mail you a letter explaining why.

Rebate Amounts

  • Clothes Washers - Electric hot water - $50
  • Clothes Washers - Gas, oil or propane hot water - $20
  • Refrigerators or Freezers - $25
