    PUD Will Operate Cooling Center Wednesday-Friday Afternoons

    Deer Island, OR - August 1, 2017 - Looking for somewhere to cool off this week? Columbia River PUD will open its Community Room as a cooling center from 1-6 p.m. Aug. 2-4.

    A thermometer reads 100 degrees Fahrenheit.This will give people a cool, quiet place to escape from the heat. Temperatures are forecast to be as high as 108 degrees this week.

    The PUD will have free cold drinks and light snacks available.

    The PUD is located at 64001 Columbia River Highway in Deer Island. The Community Room is accessible at the south end of the building. To access the room, enter the parking lot and drive past the building's front entrance, then turn right at the end of the parking lot.
