February 23, 2017 - Columbia River People's Utility District customers who reside in floating homes that sit outside the PUD's political boundary in Multnomah Channel will vote on annexing into the district in May. The Multnomah County Board of Commissioners unanimously passed a resolution on February 23, 2017, calling for annexation measures to be placed on the ballots in Columbia and Multnomah Counties for the May 16, 2017, election.
St. Helens, OR - A snowstorm on Super Bowl Sunday caused scattered power outages in Columbia County.
We have received reports of scattered outages in our service area as a result of the snowfall. Crews are working to make repairs.
St. Helens, OR – January 23, 2017 – Two new representatives were sworn into the Columbia River People Utility District’s Board of Directors this month. Debbie Reed will now serve as the Subdivision 1 Director and Rob Mathers is the Director for Subdivision 3.
It took the use of two 4-wheelers to finalize outage restoration work from a January 10-11 snowstorm that affected nearly 2,000 PUD customers.
The Board of Directors will hold a special workshop to conduct interviews in preparation to appoint a Director to Subdivision 1.
The PUD will honor a 'Community Hero' each month to someone who goes above and beyond to make our community a better place.
December 22, 2016 - During its December 20 meeting, the Columbia River People's Utility District Board of Directors approved a $35.2 million Operating and Capital Budget for 2017.
December 21, 2016 - The Board of Directors is inviting eligible candidates to submit letters of interest and/or resumes to fill the vacancy on CRPUD’s board.
