Entry form for 2011 Calendar Photo Contest
Each year we produce a calendar for our customers that features scenic photographs taken in Columbia County.
We typically receive about 300 photos for the contest. Our board selects a group of finalists, and then we post those photos in our lobby and on our website during the month of October and ask our customers pick the winning shots.
Who may enter
Anyone may enter the contest, but we will give preference to photos taken by PUD customers. You may submit up to 10 photos, but we may limit each photographer to no more than two winning entries. Both amateur and professional photographers are welcome to enter the contest. There is no entry fee and no prize money is given.
What to enter
To be considered, photos must be shot in Columbia County, in color, and be appropriately sized for printing at 12 inches wide by 9 inches high. Photos should depict the scenic beauty of the county.
How to enter
Submit a contest entry form and one of the following items:
- The original digital file (preferred) with a minimum resolution of 2,700 pixels by 3,600 pixels.
- An 8 x 10 or larger print of the photo
- The original slide or negative
Photo Release Forms
If the photo you submit has identifiable people in it, you must submit signed photo releases from them. (If the photo depicts minors, you must obtain written authorization from a parent or guardian.) Photo release forms can be downloaded from our website, picked up at our office in Deer Island, or faxed or emailed to you.
