Step-by-step work flow
- You request a free energy analysis from Columbia River PUD. This analysis must be completed by the PUD before any measures are installed.
- The PUD will schedule an appointment for the energy analysis, inspect your facility and identify energy-saving opportunities. You must be present for this analysis. Please allow 60-90 minutes for a thorough inspection.
- The PUD will provide a list of weatherization improvements that could be made to your facility and the estimated financial incentives that could result. The PUD will also provide names of local weatherization installers.
- If this will be a “Do-It-Yourself” project, you should now assemble costs for materials. Otherwise, you will need to request bids from weatherization installers for the recommended improvements. We advise that you obtain two or three bids, if possible.
- Authorize the weatherization installers to do the job, or purchase the materials and complete the work yourself.
- Notify the PUD when the work has been completed. Provide a copy of your statement/invoice identifying the completed work, or receipts showing the materials costs if it is a “Do-It-Yourself” job.
- The PUD will perform a final quality assurance inspection.
- Upon completion of a satisfactory final inspection, we will provide rebate funds to you. Rebates under $150 will be applied to your electric account. For rebates of $150 or greater, you may choose to either apply the amount to your electric account or receive a check for it.
* If work is completed by an unlicensed contractor, the job will be considered “Do-It-Yourself” and rebates will apply to materials costs only.
