PUD Pays $366,400 in Property Taxes

Columbia River PUD paid $366,400 in property taxes to Columbia and Multnomah counties for 2007. The amount is based on an assessed value of $30.5 million.
Property taxes paid to Columbia and Multnomah Counties help to fund schools, police departments, fire districts and other city and county services. The PUD's 2007 property tax bill will be divided as follows:
- Schools: $177,700
- Fire Districts: $76,900
- County: $47,300
- Cities: $20,600
- 911 C-Com: $14,800
- Other Taxing Districts: $29,800
Columbia River PUD paid $5,200 to Multnomah County. The PUD serves 375 customers in Northern Multnomah County including Happy Rock, Rocky Pointe and Big Oak marinas on the east side of Higway 30 and Watson, Gilkison and NW St. Helens Roads on the west.

Columbia River People's Utility District provides electric service to 18,300 customers in Columbia and Multnomah Counties in Oregon.
The PUD employs 48 people and had FY2006 gross revenues of $28.8 million.
