PUD donates printing for CAT Resource Directories

June 5, 2006

Community Action Team, Inc. and Columbia River PUD have released the 2006 Resource Directory for Columbia County.  The directory provides a comprehensive listing of human and social services available in Columbia County.

The new directory lists nearly 300 services ranging from Alcoholics Anonymous to Workers Compensation. Copies are available at Community Action Team, 310 Columbia Boulevard in St. Helens, and at the PUD office in Deer Island.

The Resource Directory is made available to help county residents with various needs.  The PUD donates funds to cover the printing of the directory so that it can be distributed at no charge to local residents. CAT distributes 2,000 copies of the directory each year.

“The PUD and Community Action Team collaborate on a number of projects, including heating assistance, low-income weatherization and self-help housing,” said PUD Market Development & Communications Supervisor Thad Roth. “We are happy to support their efforts in distributing this guide.”

Several agencies assisted with the development of the guide, including the Columbia County Commission on Children and Families, United Way of

Columbia County, Management & Training Corporation, Columbia Community Mental Health, Oregon Human Services Self Sufficiency and Seniors & People with Disabilities.
